Steve Moore was a spectacularly successful shot putter out of New Dorp HS. He
dominated the event in NYC during the early 1970's. In 1973 he became the first
Staten Islander to ever throw over 60 feet. Even today his best throw is ranked
in the top five all-time in the PSAL of NYC.
