Caitlin Tormey

Caitlin Tormey was a middle distance runner during her four-year career at Princeton University, recording PRs of 2:14.92 (800m) and 4:39.10 (1500m). She made her marathon debut in New York City in 2006, and was less than 90 seconds off the Olympic Trials "B" standard. Two months later she ran a 3+ minute PR in Houston, and qualified for the Olympic Trials. Her perfect record of marathon PR's continued her third time out, as she improved to 2:43:30 at the 2007 ING New York City Marathon, placing 13th. At the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials on April 20 in Boston, she placed 23rd among the very best of the country’s women marathoners in a time of 2:40:29.
