June 22nd at the board room of the South Beach Psych Center in Ocean Breeze. Vin Gattullo was elected the 4th president of SITRAC. Gattullo has previously served as the Director of the Staten Island Zoo and the President of the American Parkinson Disease Association among other projects. Gattullo laughed "at my age this is not something I thought I would be doing. We are in a real important stage now and I will take SITRAC to the next level" Among Gattullo's goals are to expand the board to include more regionally and nationally known people. Also elected was Bob Orazem, 1st. Vice President, Pete Whitehouse, 2nd Vice President, Alberto Garcia, Secretary and Jack Minogue, treasurer. "The Staten Island community has been waiting for so long"  The state of the art facility will be the finest of its kind in the USA. The facility will feature a six lane hydralic Mondo track with eight lanes in a down position.
