Wed. July 21- Today in a part of Staten Island
suitably named Ocean Breeze, Track & Field history was written. In a dusty
and barren little league baseball field stood an estimated 1,000 spectators to
witness something that most thought would never happen. Not only the ground
breaking for an Indoor Track on Staten Island BUT the ground breaking for the

Four appointed to SITRAC Board of Directors
- On Tuesday June 8th, at the bi-weekly SITRAC meeting, four distinguished community members were voted onto the Board of Directors.
"We are ecstatic that we have been able to get four members of this quality added to our board" said Bob
Orazem, Interim Vice-President. "Their experience as community leaders will go a long way as we progress with our work".
The new members are Ed Josey, local president of the chapter of the NAACP, Alberto Garcia educator and
coach, Mike Brennan judge and director of the Pepper Martin Run and Arnold Obey retired principal.
The group will be swore in at the June 22nd meeting. Welcome aboard!
