US Track & Field - NY

Wed. Sept. 21st-Several SITRAC board members were present at Bishop Ford HS in Brooklyn for the announcement of the formation of US Track & Field-New York.  Track & Field's national governing board-US Track & Field annouced the formation of a new regional organization to replace the previously group commonly known as MAC (Metropolitian Athletics Congress).

President Lauren Primerano and Secretary Sean Rice conducted the meeting to a group of 100 supporters."We plan to be inclusive and host events in ALL areas of our district" stated Primerano who has competed in the US Olympic Trials in the Javelin. The organization hopes to get a "running start" this fall and has scheduled a series of Cross Country meets in three boroughs.
 
Staten Islander and Msgr. Farrell coach Tom Cuffe was appointed the position of Staten Island representative.
